Evaluation of The Chad: Early Season Report.

Uncle Sam (Hwang) Says...

The Chad is about a 1/3 of its way into its debut season and I believe now would be a good time to do some team reflection. It has been a pretty rough season so far. That's not to say we haven't had some good moments on field, despite (or maybe due to) our devastating lack of skill with the ball; Josh's flamboyant lob-goal with the slickest flick of his foot would definately be one of those moments. However we haven't won a game yet, and we've lost matches that we should've really won. And yes, losing to a bunch of munchkins who look 12 IS indeed an embarrassment, no matter how bad we are. I know we play to have fun and results don't really matter blah blah blah, but I have a desperate hunger to register at least 1 win this season. So I've decided to churn up a blog post where we can advise each other on what we need to improve on, individually but as a team as well. So here is my say:

Alex: Slowly finding his feet, scored his first goal of the season recently. Knows where to position himself but at times does not know what to do when the ball is in his posession.

Ben: Eventhough he complains about his lack of accuracy when it comes to shooting, I don't think he's as wasteful as he thinks. Scored about 6-7 goals so far. Could tone down the aggression switch a little; it's good to be competitive but let's not forget we're just having fun.

Cam: Becoming pretty solid as a defender, good speed and nice tackling. Looks abit gung-ho at times, a bit more calmness over the ball would be good as well.

Me: A very talented master of terrible shooting, very much hot/cold. I think I also need to work on passing, and need to contribute more in defense as well.

Josh: I'd probably say this boy has some potential, nice calm dribbling and a good tackler/header as well. Doesn't really seem too confident inside the D though, despite having a strong shot. I just hope he doesn't turn out like me.

Matt/Norman: Part of the AWOL crew, haven't seen much of him. Seems like a pretty natural athelete though.

Michael: The 2nd member of the AWOL crew. Just needs to play more. We all know this boy could, would and should be carrying the team. I can expect for us to possibly win a few matches with him in the side.

Post now open for discussion!
